Our Process

Quotes Team

When we receive a request from your insurance company, one of our Quote Coordinators will be in contact to arrange for an Estimator to attend your home to assess the damages.

Estimation Team

Their report (including cause of damage, photos, maintenance requirements) & the scope of works will then be submitted to your insurer for their review.

Repair Coordinator

Once we receive authority from your insurer to proceed with repair works, your dedicated Repair Coordinator will be in contact to discuss the Scope of Works and any questions you may have. Once any applicable excesses are paid and the Scope of Works is agreed, your Repair Coordinator will start to schedule the trades.

Supervisors & Trades

Your Repair Coordinator is office based and liaises with the Supervisor, tradespeople, the insurance agency and most importantly – with you. Your Repair Coordinator is available via direct phone number or email.

After all works have been completed, your Repair Coordinator will make a ‘final call’ to check you are happy with the repairs.

BAU Claims (Business as Usual)

BAU (or Business As Usual) Claims are the most common type of household insurance claims and encompass typical insurance claims resulting from everyday occurrences and risks within a home. This may include incidents like accidental damage, theft, liability issues, and storm damage. Storm damage claims specifically involve the destruction or damage caused by severe weather conditions such as windstorms, hailstorms, or heavy rainfall.

Liquid Management Claims (Escape Of Liquid)

Escape of Liquid Claims involve accidental release or escape of liquid within a property, resulting in damage to the building or its contents. These claims typically cover situations such as burst pipes, leaking appliances, plumbing issues, or overflowing water sources. CRA Building Services is experienced in handling these claims and engaging emergency plumbing and restoration trades as soon as required.

Builders Warranty Repairs

Builders Warranty insurance is offered by QBE in South Australia and VMIA in Victoria. It protects homeowners if their builder fails to complete the contracted work or goes bankrupt. Once your claim with QBE/ VMIA has been approved, CRA work with you to schedule timely and effective repairs and ensure that all works meet the highest Australian standards.
