Core Competencies

CRA has a raft of directly employed tradespeople all of whom have trades expertise in a wide range of areas, including residential and commercial works. Our trades are involved in CRA’s in house training and education program that ensures the highest levels of skills and qualifications. We also employ a wide variety of general and specialist subcontract tradespeople, all of whom meet our stringent licencing and safety requirements to be part of CRA’s preferred subcontractor list. CRA staff all hold DCSI clearances and have National Police Clearances and wear CRA identification. CRA are members of the Housing Industry of Australia (HIA), Master Builders Association (MBA); are registered with WorkCover and have liability insurance up to $20 million.

Organisational achievements

CRA is a preferred builder on the panels of various insurance companies demonstrating the quality of product. Our clients appreciate our excellent customer service and effective service provision, and our ability to react to a request 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We also hold a number of corporate contracts for reactive and proactive maintenance. CRA’s daily practices are well supported through our bespoke online scheduling system that allows for clear, real-time communication between office and trades staff. We utilise a number of cloud based storage systems that ensure that we have what we need when we need it. We believe being progressive with technology is a core need of a business that operates in the field and who needs to be available at all times.

 

Management profile

Tom Welsh is the Director, having taken over from Roger Welsh in 2014. Tom is supported by our Operations Manager. CRA employs a Quality Consultant to ensure that our business grows in a manner that offers sustainability and dependability. We build and utilise our internal management team and quality systems to formulate effective business strategy and achieve financial targets, whilst providing excellent customer service. This approach supports and encourages professional growth amongst team members. We believe that a large part of our business success has come from choosing the right people for the organisation.
